Film Sohni Mahiwal, Saaransh, and Sparsh received the most awards in the 32nd Filmfare Awards (1985). Saaransh received seven (7) nominations whereas Sohni Mahiwal and Sparsh both received five (5) nominations. All these three films started with the alphabet “S”.
Film Sharaabi became the most nominated film in the 32nd Filmfare Awards. The film received eleven (11) nominations and won two out of them.
Film Kal Ki Awaaz received seven (7) nominations. However, the film won only one (1) award for Best Lyricist. Hasan Kamal won the award for the song Aaj Ki Awaaz (Title Track).
Cult Comedy Film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro received four (4) nominations. The film won only one (1) award for Best Comic Actor.
Film Tohfa received three (3) nominations but did not win any of them.
Film Bhavna received two (2) nominations. Shabana Azmi won the Best Actress Award for the film.
Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki and Ghar Ek Mandir also received two (2) nominations each. However, both films did not win any awards.
