2. Music duo Shankar-Jaikishan follows A. R. Rahman by winning the second-highest number of wins in the category.
   • He won Nine (9) awards out of Twenty (20) nominations.
3. Ace Music duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal received twenty-five (25) nominations and won seven (7) out of them.
4. Nadeem-Shravan and Pritam Chakraborty won the award four (4) times each.
5. Rahul Dev Burman, Anu Malik, and trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy won the award three (3) times each.
6. A.R. Rahman and Laxmikant-Pyarelal hold the record for maximum consecutive wins i.e. four (4) in a row.

   • He was nominated six (6) times in a row from 2013 to 2018. Out of these six consecutive nominations, he won for the year 2013 (for Barfi), 2017 (for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil), and 2018 (for Jagga Jasoos).
