47th Filmfare Awards 2002 – Highlights

  1. Film Lagaan received the most awards in the 47th Filmfare Awards (2002). The film received nine (9) nominations and won eight (8) of them.
  2. Film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham received sixteen (16) nominations and won five of them.
  3. By receiving sixteen (16) nominations, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham became the Highest Nominated film in 2002.
  4. Film Dil Chahta Hai received second-highest nominations in the 47th Filmfare Awards (2002). The film received twelve (12). The film won six (6) awards out of twelve nominations.
  5. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha received nine (9) nominations and won only two of them.
  6. Film Aks received six (6) nominations and won four (4) of them.
  7. Film Asoka received five (5) nominations and won only one award. Santosh Sivan won the award for Best Cinematography.
  8. Film Ajnabee received four (4) nominations and won two of them.
