- Film Lagaan received the most awards in the 47th Filmfare Awards (2002). The film received nine (9) nominations and won eight (8) of them.
- Film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham received sixteen (16) nominations and won five of them.
- By receiving sixteen (16) nominations, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham became the Highest Nominated film in 2002.
- Film Dil Chahta Hai received second-highest nominations in the 47th Filmfare Awards (2002). The film received twelve (12). The film won six (6) awards out of twelve nominations.
- Gadar: Ek Prem Katha received nine (9) nominations and won only two of them.
