Amitabh Bachchan received his first nomination in the category of the Best Actor in Zanjeer.
Amitabh Bachchan won his first Filmfare Award. He won it in the category of the Best Supporting Actor in Namak Haraam.
Nutan was nominated in the category of Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for the same film Saudagar. However, she failed to win either.
