About
The 1st IIFA Awards was held on 24 June 2000 at Millennium Dom, London, United Kingdom. Since then, the Award Ceremony is being held in different countries and continents. Above all, the IIFA Awards have become a symbol of glorifying the success of Bollywood in the world.
The IIFA Award for Best Cinematography is being given since the inception of the IIFA Awards in 2000. Anil Mehta became the first recipient of the Best Cinematography award. He received the award Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999).
The Award for Best Cinematography is a Technical Award and a part of the Annual IIFA Awards.
The IIFA Award for Best Cinematography Award is meant to honor the Cinematographers / Directors of Photography for their excellent work to present an extraordinary Cinematic experience with the Camera.

Highlights-IFFA Award for Best Cinematography
- Binod Pradhan has grabbed the most number of the IIFA Award for Best Cinematography.
- He has won the award five (5) times.
- Binod Pradhan is the only Cinematographer, until now, who has won IIFA Award for Best Cinematographer in consecutive years.
- He won the IIFA Awards for Best Cinematographer for two consecutive years.
- He won the Best Cinematographer Award in the 15th IIFA Awards (2014) for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and the 16th IIFA Awards (2015) for 2 states.
- Jason West, who won the IIFA Award for Best Cinematography for Rock On in the 10th IIFA Awards (2009), is a London-based Cinematographer.
- Rock On was the first Bollywood film for Jason West as a Cinematographer. Later he shot films like Delhi Belly and Don 2 (2011).
- Jason West is married to Indian playback singer Suneeta Rao and now lives in Bandra with his wife Suneeta Rao and Daughter Maya.
- Carlos Catalan won the IIFA Award for Best Cinematographer for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in the 13th IIFA Awards (2012).
- Carlos is a British Cinematographer. He has also worked in the films Luck By Chance (2009) and Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), in addition to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011).
- Zoya Akhtar has directed all three films, whereas Farhan Akhtar has played a pivotal role in all three films.
- Marcin Laskawiec is a Cinematographer based in Warsaw, Poland.
- He won the IIFA Award for Best Cinematography in the 19th IIFA Awards (2018) for Tiger Zinda hai featured Salman Khan in the lead role.
- Marcin also worked as Director of Photography in Bollywood film Bharat (2019). The film features Salman Khan in a lead role too.
