The Zee Cine Awards (ZCA) is one of the prestigious Film Awards for the Indian film industry. It is a set of awards presented annually to encourage and honor film artists for their outstanding work.
The Zee Cine Award was instituted in November 1997 to award “Excellence in cinema – the democratic way”. Mumbai City became the first Host of the newly established Award. The 1st Zee Cine Awards held on 14 March 1998 in Mumbai. The ceremony of 11th Zee Cine Awards-2008 was held at London Docklands on 26 April 2008.
The Technical and Critics Jury team consisted of Khalid Mohamed, Zeenat Aman, Neeta Ambani, Piyush Pandey, Sonali Bendre, Kailash Surendranath, Sooni Taraporevala, M.F. Hussain, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Javed Ahmed, Ramesh Sippy, Manmohan Shetty, Sarita Tanwar, Deepak Gehlot, Chaitanya Upadhyay, and Romesh Sharma.
11th Zee Cine Awards is also known as Lux Zee Cine Awards or Zee Cine Awards 2008.
