The Screen Award for Best Film (Critics) is a part of the annual Screen Awards. The award is chosen by the Jury members. Screen Award for Best Film (Critics) is popularly known as Star Screen Award for Best Film (Critics).
Screen Awards came into existence in the year 1994. The first award ceremony was held in 1995 in Mumbai, India. The 1st Screen Awards is also known as Screen Awards 1995.
The Screen Award for Best Film (Critics) was first given in the 11th Screen Awards 2005. Film Swades (2004) became the first recipient of the Screen Award for Best Film (Critics).
