The Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role is a part of the annual Screen Awards. The award is chosen by the Jury members. Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role is popularly known as Star Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role.
Screen Awards came into existence in the year 1994. The first award ceremony was held in 1995 in Mumbai, India. The 1st Screen Awards is also known as Screen Awards 1995.
The Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role was first given in the 2nd Screen Awards 1996. Mithun Chakraborty became the first recipient of the Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role. He received the award for Jallad (1995).
