1. Film Hum was the 2nd Highest Grossing Hindi Film of 1991.
   • The tentative budget of the film was 5 Crore INR. The film earned approximately 16.75 Crore INR at the Worldwide Box Office.
2. Hum received seven (7) Filmfare nominations in the 37th Filmfare Awards 1992 and won three (3).
   • Sudesh Bhosle received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Playback Singer for the song Jumma Chumma De De.
   • Choreographer Chinni Prakash won the Filmfare Best Choreographer Award for the song Jumma Chumma De De.
3. Songs of Hum became popular, and two songs were part of the famous Radio Show Binaca Geetmala.

5. The song Tamma Tamma Loge from Tanedar became popular in 1990.
   • One year later, the song Jumma Chumma De De was released and became more popular. Since Jumma Chumma had a similar tune to Tamma Tamma Loge, a controversy arose.
   • However, both songs were a remake of another song Tama by Mory Kante.
