The Filmfare Award for Best Costume Design Award is a part of the annual Filmfare Awards. These awards are presented by the Filmfare Magazine (Times Group).
The First Filmfare Awards were held on 21 March 1954 in Bombay (now Mumbai). However, the Filmfare Award for Best Costume Design was introduced in the 40th Filmfare Awards (1995).
Famous Fashion Designer Manish Malhotra became the first recipient of this award. Veera Kapur Ee received the award in the 66th Filmfare Awards (2021).
