Aarya Review

The story depicts the crime drama and Aarya’s journey to find the real culprit behind the murder of her husband. The series also shows her conflict with big criminals and drug mafia and her fight to save her family.

Sushmita Sen has chosen a good script for her comeback. ‘Aarya’ revolves around Aarya Sareen (Sushmita Sen). The story depicts how she tacked every problem single handedly with fear to lose his family.

Script and Direction

‘Aarya’ is a Crime Thriller and the screenplay is written almost perfectly. Direction is also above average and compels the audience to watch the entire series.

The script writer and director have successfully keeps the suspense alive till the last episode. Though guess work of audience might work for them yet guessing the real culprit will definitely be hard for you.

Sushmita Sen has shown her wings after a long time and she has proved that she can do Oskar winning performances. She has taken the entire series on her shoulders.

Vikas Kumar as ACP Khan has done a great job as typical Honest Indian police officer who does everything to grab the culprit.

Manish Choudhary as Shekhawat has never let you believe that he is not a real criminal. He behaves like real criminal in real time. It seems he has lived with the character.

However, after Sushmita Sen, the real acting gem is Sikandar Kher. His silent acting will definitely impress the audience. I guess best acting of Sikandar Kher till date even without having much dialogue to deliver.

Chandrachur Singh gets a very small role to play. However, he looks refreshing. Rest of the actors including child actors have done well.

Aarya Cons

  • The series has 9 episodes and each length more than 50 minutes. Sometimes the length makes you bore
  • Out of 9 episodes 5 are very good, two are good and rest remaining two episodes are average.
  • The series should be completed in 6-7 episodes.
  • Aarya looks like a full length feature film made into pieces.
  • Unrealistic behavior/gesture of Aarya and her children.
  • Aarya and other characters of the series keep every information with them only inspite of passing the same to the right person. They hide those things that should be disclosed to everyone. For instance Aarya unnecessarily hides about wrong doings of Jawahar from his wife who is also best friend of her. The entire web series don’t established any logical reason behind.
  • Unnecessary sex scenes – Intimate scenes have been stuffed without any reason. As such, a 70 years old man sex with his young wife and his grandson reaches there with his girlfriend. These kinds of scenes can make you in an awkward position while watching the series with family.
  • During initial 2-3 episodes you could not recognize and remember every character due to a number of characters played by new artists.

Aarya Pros

  • Excellent acting by Sushmita Sen, Sikandar Kher and Vikas Kumar.
  • Excellent acting by Sushmita Sen, Sikandar Kher and Vikas Kumar.
  • Good story, screenplay and directions.
  • Extraordinary cinematography that makes you feel like watching a movie in theater.
  • Thrilling story with lots of unexpected twists and turns.
  • New age drama that tells the behavior of adolescence from high societies.
  • Every character has been given unique identity and ample screen space to show their talent.
  • So many characters are there but the screenwriter and the directors successfully make all of them as an established character as the story moves on.
  • Suspense element remains alive in every episode. One cannot imagine the next step.
  • Twists and turns are unbelievable. If you are a lover of suspense thriller this would definitely for you.

Final Words

‘Aarya’ is a fantastic story of a woman who does everything to protect his family. Earlier this year Breath: Into the Shadows was also released on the same theme where a father (Abhishek Bachahan) does everything to protect his family.

However, Aarya is far better that Breath. The series is for those who want to spend quality time at home watching cinema but just remember the series contents adult contents.

Aarya Rating

IMDB viewers provide a rating of 7.9/10 (6449 Reviews). Bollywood Product also gives a similar rating of 8/10 due to the unique presentation of a simple story in a far convincing way.
