Songs have always been considered an integral part of Hindi (Bollywood) Songs. However, there are several Hindi (Bollywood) films without any songs. These films are experimental movies, most of the time, that focus on the main story.
The First Indian film without any Song
The first Indian Talkie film Alam Ara [meaning: the ornament of the world] released in 1931. After that, songs became an indispensable part of Hindi films.
J.B.H Wadia’s Naujawan was released in 1937 and became India’s first song-less talkie film. It was a fast-paced thriller with no place for any song.
