- Film Sadhna (1958) received six (6) nominations and won two (2) of them in the 6th Filmfare Awards (1959).
- When Vyjayanthimala heard the script, she was completely bowled over and indicated her acceptance of the role by giving B.R. Chopra (the Director) a huge tray full of coins.
- Sadhna was a Black & White film. Thus, the Producer Ravi Chopra wanted to convert the movie into a color one as he did earlier with Naya Daur and Gumrah. However, he didn’t get the chance.
- Sahir Ludhiyanvi received a Filmfare Nomination for Best Lyricist in the 6th Filmfare Awards (1959).
