About

The 1st IIFA Awards was held on 24 June 2000 at Millennium Dom, London, United Kingdom. Since then, the Award Ceremony is being held in different countries and continents. Above all, the IIFA Awards have become a symbol of glorifying the success of Bollywood in the world.

The IIFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recording is being given since the inception of the IIFA Awards in 2000. Suresh Kathuria became the first recipient of the IIFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recording. He received the award for Hum Dil De Chuke Samam (1999).

The Award for Best Sound Re-Recording is a Technical Award and a part of the Annual IIFA Awards.

Highlights-IFFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recording

  1. Suresh Kathuria became the first receiver of the IIFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recording in the 1st IIFA Awards (2000).
    • He won the award for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
  2. Anuj Mathur and Leslie Fernandes have won the Most IIFA Awards for Best Sound Re-Recording.
    • Both have won four (4) IIFA Awards each for Best Sound Re-Recording.
  3. Anup Dev and Debajit Changmai have won the IIFA Awards for Best Sound Re-Recording three (3) times each.
  4. Ajay Kumar P.B. and Hitendra Ghosh have won the IIFA Awards for Best Sound Re-Recording two (2) times each.
  5. Leslie Fernandes and Debajit Changmai have won the IIFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recording for consecutive years.
  6. The IIFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recoding was given to two (2) artists for two different films in the 15th IIFA Awards (2014).
    • Anup Dev won for Chennai Express, and Debajit Changmai won for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
  7. The IIFA Award for Best Sound Re-Recording was not given in the 19th IIFA Awards (2018).
