46th Filmfare Awards 2001 – Highlights

  1. Film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai received the most awards in the 46th Filmfare Awards (2001). The film received Eleven (11) nominations and won nine (9) of them.
  2. Film Mohabbatein also received eleven (11) nominations. However, the film won only three (3) awards.
    • By receiving eleven (11) nominations, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Mohabbatein became the Highest Nominated film in 2001.
  3. Film Refugee received second-highest nominations in the 46th Filmfare Awards (2001). The film received nine (9) and won four (4) of them.
  4. Film Dhadkan received eight (8) nominations and won two (2) of them.
  5. Film Fiza received seven (7) nominations and won two of them. 
  6. Film Mission Kashmir received six (6) nominations and won only one of them. Allan Amin won the award for Best Action.
  7. Film Josh received five (5) nominations but did not win any awards.
  8. Film Kya Kehna received three (3) and won only one. Honey Irani received the award for Best Story.
  9. Film Pukar received two nominations but failed to win any.
  10. Film Astitve also received two nominations but won only one. Tabu received the award for Best Actress (Critic’s).
  11. Anu Malik received the Filmfare Special Award for the film Refugee.
  12. Asha Bhosle and Feroz Khan received Lifetime Achievement Awards in the 46th Filmfare Awards (2001).
